FlightSim Studio’s SeaRey for Microsoft Flight Simulator has entered beta testing. The announcement came coupled with a feature list for the plane, that also details slight differences between the Xbox Edition and the Desktop Edition of the plane. The most important difference between the two will be the inclusion of an EFB with the Desktop Edition. The plane will also feature highly detailed 3D modelling, both inside and outside of the plane. A custom electrical and fuel system have been implemented, and the plane will feature multiple custom instruments such as the EIS 4000, GTX320 and the IC-A200. The EFB will come with several features exclusive to the desktop version, such as a moving map, a loadout manager and custom camera’s to perform your walkaround. FlightSim Studio aims to have the SeaRey available to customers as soon as possible after the conclusion of the beta tests.
Though the SeaRey is the first aircraft to be published under FlightSim Studio’s own name, it is far from the first development project the studio has undertaken. The studio has previously created several sceneries available on the MSFS Marketplace, and was responsible for some of the enhanced airports in World Update VI (Germany, Austria and Switzerland). More recently, the studio has been working with Microsoft on bringing gliders to the simulator, and was featured in the Partnership Series.
