Following up on its promise to deliver the B727 Freighter today, FlightSim Studio has released the trijet for the Microsoft flight Simulator.
FlightSim Studio has delivered an aircraft that those looking for cargo operations can enjoy thanks to the freighter model of the iconic Boeing 727. There are plenty of features included throughout the jet for you to find.
The Boeing 727 was one of the original jet-powered aircraft that Boeing produced in the 1960s. Easily recognizable by its “T-tail” design and 3 rear-mounted engines, the Boeing 727 became an instant hit with airlines as it could easily operate out of smaller, domestic airports. With over 1,800 aircraft produced by 1984, the 727 was one of the most successful domestic aircraft at the time. While only a handful of operators still fly the Boeing 727, the type was widely used by airlines around the world.
Throughout the aircraft, you will find extensive detailed PBR textures, custom animations and smaller details both inside and out. In the cockpit, you will be able to interact with checklists, windows, autopilot controls and even use the fully-featured Flight Engineering Panel.
In terms of system depth, you will find a custom SP-150 autopilot, the logic for many of the systems (e.g. electrics, APU, lighting), and the ability to change between various navigation options. This includes a classic radio stack, a retro simulated CIVA INS, along with a modern and futuristic set – paving the way for you to fly the B727 however you wish. Flight dynamics have been completed by a real-world pilot with plenty of data references.
Finally, there is plenty of documentation to sink your teeth into, a realistic sound environment, and also supplementary items like a SimBrief profile, GSX config, and plenty of liveries to fly around with.
To help make the experience as simple as possible within a simulator environment, there is an optional easy-entry menu to automate cockpit flows and monitor systems automatically. As it’s optional, it is designed for simmers of all experiences.
You can get your copy from Aerosoft for €33.58 (excluding tax). As of August 13th, you will also be able to get it via Contrail.
