FlightSim Studio has issued another update for their B727 aircraft. Update 1.0.7 comes with a new GNS-XLS flight management system, other system updates, sound updates, a modern radio system and GSX integration. Furthermore, the developer is preparing a MSFS 2024-compatible version of the B727. While the feature set will be largely the same for MSFS 2024, the update post does mention ‘minor technical compromises’, but does not elaborate on this further.
The GNS-XLS is an older flight management computer. It features LNAV features but lacks full VNAV integration, making it ‘advisory only’. The GNS-XLS does support manual flight plan entry as well as SimBrief import, PLAN pages with fuel consumption, holds, direct to, waypoint times and an integrated moving map.
