Just over a month after releasing their rendition of Cessna’s fastest business jet, FlightFX released the first major update for their Citation X.
The 1.3.6 update, which should now be live on the MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024 marketplaces as of the publishing of this article, contains a host of improvements to the airplane, sounds, flight dynamics, and FADEC.
The biggest changes are 3-fold: a new lite texture pack that reduces memory usage to 1/4 of what it previously was, revamped ground handling with an option for a separate tiller axis, and a retuned FADEC that provides more thrust output at lower altitudes in CRZ mode.
This patch also brings extensive revisions to thrust reverser logic, with improved bucket deployment and an N1 value that ramps relative to throttle position.
VR users will benefit from a new collision mesh, while all pilots will see minor revisions to lighting intensity and position. Winglet-equipped airframes have received LED strobe and beacon lights in the process.
