FlightFX has confirmed that its HJet add-on is undergoing a major redevelopment specifically for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Rather than a simple update, the team is rebuilding large parts of the aircraft to take advantage of the new simulator’s rendering systems, materials, and backend architecture.
The cockpit and cabin have both been refreshed with improved modelling and higher-resolution textures, including updated seating, interior materials, and lighting. Systems work is also underway, with improvements to avionics, a reworked tablet interface, and support for features such as Navigraph charts, SimBrief integration, and native MSFS2024 capabilities. Flight modelling, ground handling and audio are also being revisited to better reflect the real aircraft.
FlightFX says owners of the current HJet will receive the 2024 rebuild as a free upgrade, regardless of whether they purchased through the Marketplace or a third-party storefront. The existing MSFS2020 version will continue to receive one final patch, but ongoing development will now focus on the new simulator.
No release window has been shared yet, but the developers say the update is progressing well and will represent the most substantial rework of the aircraft since launch. Stay tuned to FSElite for more.
