FlightFX Releases HJet 24

This article has been updated to reflect that the FlightFX HJet 24 has been released.

We first heard about the comprehensive redevelopment plans for bringing Marwan Gharib’s HJet to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 (MSFS2024) back in November. Rather than providing a simple compatibility patch or direct port, Gharib and FlightFX have been busy rebuilding significant portions of the aircraft to utilize the new simulator’s advanced rendering systems, materials, and backend architecture. According to the team, this “HJet 24” rebuild represents the most substantial update to the aircraft since its original launch.

According to FlightFX, the revamped HJet for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will be available starting on February 19th, 2026. This updated edition of the popular Very Light Jet features a host of new refinements and will retail for $24.99. Previous owners of the MSFS2020 version of the HJet by Marwan Gharib will receive the MSFS2024 new edition as a free upgrade.

The HJet 24 for MSFS2024 introduces a complete technical and visual overhaul, highlighted by a rebuilt flight model and ground handling physics that utilize MSFS2024’s advanced simulation engine. FlightFX reports full compatibility with MSFS2024’s Career Mode for private charter missions and the implementation of native walk-around features, allowing pilots to interact with covers, chocks, and the GPU.

The HJet’s avionics have been migrated to the Working Title V2 framework, introducing a custom Vertical Situation Display (VSD) with terrain elevation and FlightFX’s VAMS 2.0 EFB that features native passenger avatars that react dynamically to weight and balance settings. Visually, the jet has been completely remodeled with native MSFS2024 materials and shaders, along with a fully interactive cabin—complete with smart glass shades and even a pet seagull, Rufus—while an entirely new soundscape by Echo 19 ensures the audio experience is as immersive as the rest of the aircraft.

The FlightFX HJet 24 is now available from the MSFS 2024 Marketplace for $24.99 USD. Owners of the original HJet for MSFS 2020 should use the same gamertag used to purchase the 2020 version in order to receive the free upgrade. The HJet 24 is also available via Contrail, Flightsim.to, and Orbx Direct.
