Over on Facebook, the team at FlightFactor is teasing the possible development of a 767-400 for X-Plane.

On the post, FlightFactor shared two renders of the 767-400 cockpit, with many of the details of the Boeing cockpit there and present. That said, this is just rendered from Blender, with texturing and other details still missing. Whilst it is a rendering of the plane, FlightFactor says that there are no promises that it will actually ever release.

“No questions. No dates. No promises. Maybe it will be never released at all,” is what was said on Facebook.

The initial announcement was met with some speculation from the community that it was an elaborate April Fools joke, but FlightFactor’s Discord moderator, Turtle, said that the announcement is genuine. They did, however, mention that this product may never get released.

It’s unclear under what circumstances FlightFactor would need in order for the 767-400 to continue development, but with work still ongoing for their 777v2, amongst other products, they likely have a lot going on to consider yet another aircraft type to make.

We’ll keep our eyes peeled and be sure to let you know of any further progress with the 767-400 from FlightFactor.
