After perhaps one of the longest waits in flight simulation scenery history, Flightbeam has confirmed they are aiming to release their anticipated Auckland Airport (NZAA) later this month. Sharing a post on Facebook, the development team said that the large international airport will be coming in July 2021 for Prepar3D.
The news follows on from the recent blog update that said that beta testing was going really well. In fact, the team said that customers will be pleased with the performance of the airport, even on lower-end machines. An additional screenshot was shared from Prepar3D of the airport in action.

Auckland Airport has been in and out of development for many years, but the wait appears to be coming to an end. We’ve seen various previews of the airport over that period of time and even a Microsoft Flight Simulator version was confirmed. This is one release we’ve been keen to see in our simulators and can’t wait to tell you when it’s out. Just note that a MSFS release hasn’t yet been confirmed and the July release is only listed for Prepar3D at this point in time.
Whilst we’re talking about Flightbeam, it’s worth noting that they are holding a sale where you can get 30% off any product by using the code SUMMERFLYING.
Thanks to Adam E for the tip.
