Flightbeam Portland Updated to v1.3

Since its release, Flightbeam and iBlueYonder’s rendition of KPDX Portland has received lots of love in the way of patches and updates, with many new additions added since v1.0. Today marks the third significant update to the airport, with v1.3 of PDX having just been released.

V1.3 adds new, 3D, SODE controlled approach lights, switchable lighting to allow users to choose between static and dynamic lighting, as well as static airliner models for those not running AI traffic programs.

We’ll keep you posted on any new updates to KPDX.

v1.30 Changelog

  • New 3D models of runway approach lights – SODE driven to activate at dawn, night, dusk, and daytime (when visibility drops below 5mi)
  • New static airliners – just a sprinkling of them to maintain performance but not make things look so dead with no AI running
  • Switchable dynamic lighting – now turning it off won’t cause the airport to just go dark.
