Scenery developer Flightbeam sent out a marketing email earlier today to promote the 30% Halloween sale they’re having. Sale aside, included in the email was a few announcements, with the biggest surprise being the announcement of KSFOHD v3.
The email was extremely light on details, however, it did state that the product is beginning to undergo a “new, massive overhaul.”. There was no indication as to what the new overhauled features would include, but we did reach out to Mir from Flightbeam. We will update this post once we get a response. Update: Mir replied with the following statement:
“KSFOv3 has literally just started production so there’s not much to show yet. However, I can say that it will be a new product.. and not an update to the existing KSFO (therefore, not free).”
In the meantime, it has been confirmed that Flightbeam will implement the all-new Visual Docking Guidance System addon from SODE into the current version of KSFO. This particular update will be out within a week according to the email.
Finally, the email offered another sneak peek at NZAA – Auckland International Airport. Whilst no real new information was shared, it was re-confirmed that development is “moving full steam ahead” and that Flightbeam anticipates that it will be one of the most detailed airports “ever made.”

That concludes the email. We will continue to inform you when information becomes available. Don’t forget, Flightbeam recently updated KIAD to version 3, which you can download now free of charge.
