With the news that eSellerate’s parent company Digital River has decided to stop the service, many developers are now confirming their actions following on to not disrupt services to users. Both Flightbeam and FSDreamTeam has now come out of the woodwork to announce their plans.
Flightbeam
Flightbeam has confirmed that they are working on a new system for people to purchase and install their products with a single login. The new Flightbeam manager, being co-developers with 29Palms, will enable users to purchase and download updates all from a single place. A sneak peek was also provided.
A full forum topic has been started, but no additional details were shared directly.
FSDreamTeam
FSDreamTeam confirmed that “nothing will change for users […]” as they will be using different service providers to offer the same experience. This is for both distribution and also activation services. Just like others, current users will have their details moved so the experience is seamless (regardless of the store you purchased a product from).
You can read about how FSLabs and FSDG are going to tackle this challenge in their respective posts on the site.
If any other developer confirms their plans, we’ll let you know.
