Flight Simulation Association Launched

The team at FlightSimExpo has launched a brand new website called Flight Simulation Association, which is designed for simmers or pilots to learn more about the world of flight simulation. Following a number of developers and outlets teasing “something big” over the past few days, it’s been confirmed Flight Simulation Association will be a portal to help simmers with webinars, learning tools and other resources, including discounts on various partners.

“Like with FlightSimExpo, we are hoping to spur an independent, simmer-driven effort to promote our hobby,” says Evan Reiter, co-founder of FSA. “We think existing simmers will love the wide variety of product discounts, but we also hope they’ll get involved to share their ideas and experiences so we can build great resources for those joining our hobby for the first time.”

As a member of the association, you will be able to take advantage of discounts from various developers and partners. The likes of Orbx, FlyTampa, Flightbeam, Aerosoft and many others have all provided discounts of varying amounts.

“But it’s much more than discounts: we want people to help us build FSA together so we can continue some of the cool things we started doing at FlightSimExpo 2019,” continues Evan. “Imagine more advertisements for home flight simulation in real-world magazines and at Oshkosh and SUN ‘n FUN. What if, someday, there was a single place you could search for add-ons and airports across all platforms and developers? These are the types of things that become possible when you have an independent organization that works to support both flight simmers and developers.”

Beyond the seminars and discounts, full members of the Flight Simulation Association will be able to able to find local simmers using Simmer Search. You can connect to local simmers who opt-in and organise local meet-ups (when safe to do so).

To join the Flight Simulation Association as a full member, you will need to pay $30.00 USD a year to gain access to all of the membership benefits. A free limited trial is also available for you to check out some of the content and also take advantage of a limited number of discounts already available.

You can see the website here,

In addition to the launch of the new website, the team has also launched Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.

Flight Simulation Association (FSA) is owned by FlightSimExpo, but it should be made clear that FlightSimExpo is still the annual event bringing simmers around the world together. FlightSimExpo is currently scheduled to take place on June 4th – 6th in San Diego.

FSElite has contributed to an element of the freely available resource, but we currently no other plans to add content to Flight Simulation Association.
