It’s with sadness that we are writing that Flight Sim Show 2020 has been cancelled. Whilst never formally announced with dates, the annual event was scheduled to take place in early October at the RAF Museum Cosford in the UK.
As per the announcement post on the Just Sim website, the ongoing uncertainty about large gatherings due to the global COVID-19 pandemic is the reason for the cancellation of the event. The decision has been made by both the organisers (Just Flight) and the museum.
The event is one of the largest gatherings for the Flight Simulation with over 2,000 people attending last year’s weekend show. Names such as Just Flight, Laminar Research, Orbx, Honeycomb Aeronautical and more attended last year and many of them showed off their products to the thousands of attendees.
From the press release, Just Flight said, “with Flight Sim 2020 being a real highlight of our year, and one of the few occasions when the FS community can get together in person, we’re all going to miss catching up with everybody this year.”
Flight Sim Show 2020 joins Flight Sim Expo and various other aviation-related events in being cancelled this year due to the ongoing pandemic.
News about the future of the show is to come in the future. We’ll continue to let you if there’s any news surrounding the show or other flight sim focused shows.
