Flight Sim Labs (FSLabs) has just posted on their forums detailing the development progress of their upcoming addons. Included in this article is news regarding their recent server attack, changes to product validation and news on updates for the A320-X as well as more information on the A319-X, A321-X and Concorde-X.
Server Attack
As I’m sure many of you are aware, FSLabs’ servers were recently attacked. They state that since the attack occurred, they have investigated the attack and have taken steps to prevent a similar attack from happening again the future. They have stated that no credit card data was compromised in the attack on their servers and have also said that from what they can tell no other data was taken.
Although they have got almost all systems back up and running, they have stated that their support ticket system is still not quite back up and running again. All support issues for the moment should be sent via email to support@flightsimlabs.com.
They also state that in accordance with new GDPR requirements they are working with authorities to pursue this matter ‘appropriately’.
Changes to Product Validation
Also in this post, FSLabs have stated that they will be changed their product activation system. Obviously, like any company in any industry, FSLabs have to deal with the ever-present problem of product piracy.
They state that alongside the piracy of their product through sites, other sites have also been gaining profits off of generating fake serial numbers which can be used within the installers. This can prove harmful to any flight simulation developer especially considering the uniqueness of our hobby.
They state further on that in order to protect against these practices, they had to work around eSellerate’s activation systems. However, they have stated that a significant amount of time has been spent working on tackling piracy issues, which has, in turn, hindered the development process for their current products.
Following on from this, FSLabs have said that they’ll be taking a different approach to piracy with the next A320-X update. From now on, they’ll no longer be performing any further checks beyond putting a serial code into an installer.

A320-X for P3D v3 and FSX
A new update is currently being tested for P3D v3 and FSX and should be released in the not too distant future; this was delayed due to the recent server attack.
A321-X for P3D v4
FSLabs state that as they get ready to roll out the A319-X some of the development team has now moved their focus over to the A321-X. According to FSLabs, the A321 is currently further along than many of us may have originally thought.
They also say that they are excited to preview the product along with some new features that will be included within the A321-X.
Concorde-X for P3D v4
This is the first proper development update we have received regarding FSLab’s new version of Concorde that will be for P3D v4 and there is some exciting stuff included within it.
FSLabs have used their 3D sound engine used in the A320-X and have applied it to this new version of Concorde which will provide some awesome sounds as expected with what was the world’s only supersonic airliner. This new sound engine includes improved engine sounds for the cockpit, cabin and exterior as well as new sounds for the fuel pumps, hydraulics etc.
FSLabs have also taken the chance to remodel the famous Olympus engines which are found on Concorde, with a staggering 1 million data points in the model.
Also included within Concorde will be new dynamic lighting and dynamic effects. The new dynamic effects will mainly come from the engine reheats and when starting the engines during hours of darkness.
Alongside all this will be a newly made virtual cockpit which has been significantly updated from the previous version of Concorde-X.
FSLabs hope to have some previews of Concorde for us later this year, be sure to check back into FSElite as and when these come available.
FSLSpotlights
For those of you who are unaware, FSLabs Spotlights is a tool which is used to change lighting within the virtual cockpit of any aircraft within FSX and P3D.
Up until now, this product was payware however it is now becoming 100% free.
A319-X for P3D v4
FSLabs has stated that the NDA has now been lifted from beta testers and the release for the A319-X is not far away.
This is a lot of stuff to take in and I congratulate you for making it to the bottom of this post. For more news and updates on FSLabs be sure to check back at FSElite for more information.
