Flight Sim Labs announced their new Control Center a few weeks ago and has been undergoing final testing in the past few weeks ahead of today’s release. The application will be used to allow users to easily update aircraft, install liveries and generally manage their Flight Sim Labs products.
The primary aim has been designed to allow a one-stop update facility for the product line and improve the experience with micro-updates rather than full reinstalls for every update. You will be able to easily uninstall any products, update them and also deactivate license keys should you change hardware, without the need to contact support for any reactivation issues. You can also enter HOPPIE and SimBrief details to make the process easier moving forward. You will also be able to be part of the ‘experimental’ channel to try product updates ahead of public releases. This may not always be stable so you may want to think about it first.
Perhaps most interestingly is the fact that the Flight Sim Labs Control Center supports Microsoft Flight Simulator. Whilst this is no way confirmation of a product coming to Microsoft’s platform, it certainly is an indication that the development team are assessing the platform for something.
If you want to download the Flight Sim Labs Control Center to manage your FSL products, you can do so from the forums.
Thanks to Tafia for the tip.
