Flight Sim Development Group (FSDG) has released a new update to their rendition of Cape Town International Airport (FACT) on Prepar3D and FSX. Version 2 of the product comes with all-new features and improved compatibility for simmers. The new update, which is now available, is also free of charge for those who already own the airport product.
The new update includes a new main terminal building model which also features interior modelling with “3D humans”. Furthermore, the ground layout and taxiways have been updated to the current layout to reflect how the airport is today. Furthermore, optimisations to the airport have been included such as improved lighting and texture work. The airport also is compatible with SODE jetways and features animated ground traffic throughout.
As mentioned, the update for Cape Town International Airport is now freely available for all current customers. Those that don’t own Cape Town from FSDG can buy it from their store for 24.99. It’s worth noting that only those in the EU can purchase the product. If you’re outside the EU looking to buy, you will need to buy it from other stores such as simMarket. It’s not clear if the update is already made available to customers who buy the product from simMarket.
As well as releasing v2 of the product, FSDG also confirmed that a Microsoft Flight Simulator version of Cape Town is “soon to come.”
