Flight Panels has announced its expansion into the X-Plane ecosystem, marking the first time the developer’s products will be available outside of Microsoft Flight Simulator. The move brings its established Stream Deck-based cockpit solutions to X-Plane users.
Known for its wide range of profiles tailored to aircraft from developers such as PMDG, iniBuilds, Aerosoft, and Fenix Simulations, Flight Panels has spent the past three years enhancing cockpit interaction through physical hardware.
The company’s products transform Elgato Stream Deck devices into functional cockpit panels, allowing users to operate switches, systems, and instruments using physical buttons, rotary dials, and touchscreen inputs. This approach removes the need for keyboard and mouse interaction, offering a more tactile and immersive flying experience.
With the move to X-Plane, Flight Panels aims to tap into a community known for its focus on customisation and flexibility. According to Laminar Research, the addition of Flight Panels’ solutions provides X-Plane users with another way to deepen immersion and enhance cockpit workflows.
Initial releases are planned before the end of March 2026, with aircraft-specific and autopilot profiles for the default Cessna 172 and the popular Zibo Boeing 737. Aircraft profiles will support both 15-key and 32-key Stream Deck layouts, compatible with devices such as the Stream Deck XL, MK.2, Stream Deck Mobile, and Corsair Xeneon Edge. Autopilot-focused profiles will also be available for the Stream Deck +.
All products will be made available through the Flight Panels store and selected third-party marketplaces. If you’re interested to learn more, check out their website.
There will be more news to come from Flight Panels this weekend at FSWeekend when we will host a segment on the FSElite Stage.
