First A2A Simulations Comanche Preview in MSFS

A very first look at the A2A Simulations Comanche in Microsoft Flight Simulator.

With an abundance of high-fidelity jetliner aircraft now in Microsoft Flight Simulator, it’s almost as if eyes are now turning to those developers who have yet to make their mark in the new simulator. One such developer who has been surprisingly absent for some time is A2A Simulations.

We have known for a while that Scott and his team are hard at work on bringing the Comanche to Microsoft Flight Simulator. Other than some tidbits here and there, news has been fairly sparse from the team. However, a recent interview with Key.Aero (Paywall) shares some new information and the first in-sim screenshot of the plane in Microsoft Flight Simulator.

The interview PC Pilot held with A2A Simulations has been split into two parts. The first part, already published, focuses more on the commercial projects that A2A Simulations has been involved with as of late. The second part focuses more on the products of the future, but Scott could not hold himself from mentioning their current work in MSFS. Scott said in a portion of the interview, we’re really excited at the prospect of bringing the A2A Comanche to the MSFS community, complete with its Accu-Sim heart. We also hope to bring some other old favourites into the new sim, and we have one-or-two other completely new Accu-Sim aircraft in early stages of development too.”

There were also two new images shared that finally show an A2A Simulations aircraft firmly in the new simulator. The Comanche is taking shape quite nicely and there’s no doubt more previews are to come soon.

One other interesting piece of information from the interview is that A2A Simulations has already worked with MSFS and their work has been used amongst the community now for some time. They actually created the cockpit artwork for two of the P-51 aircraft found in the Reno DLC pack that was released last year.

You can read the full interview now over on Key.Aero’s website. You will need to pay to be a member in order to read it.
