Final Approach Design Simulations Releases Dhaka Airport for MSFS

The Bay of Bengal – Only one flight away

With the release of the same airport for Prepar3D less than a year ago, Final Approach Design Simulations has also released Bangladesh’s most important aviation hub for MSFS.

Dhaka Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (VGHS) is the main international airport serving Bangladesh’s capital city and consequently serves as the primary gateway to the country. Located on the city’s northern outskirts, the airport is a joint civilian and military facility, serving as a hub for Bangladesh’s national carrier, Biman Bangladesh Airlines, and as the primary base of operations for the Bangladeshi Air Force.

While the first airfield was built by the British in 1941 following the outbreak of WWII, the present-day airport did not come into existence until 1966, following the Indo-Pakistani war. Though the construction began in 1966, the project was halted again due to the Bangladesh Liberation War, during which the partially completed airfield suffered severe damages due to bombing. It was not until 1980 that the airport officially began operations, with it only reaching full operational status by 1983. On an interesting side note, the airport is named after Shah Jalal, one of Bangladesh’s most prominent and respected Sufi saints.

Final Approach Design Simulations and Deshi Sceneries have released their rendition of Bangladesh’s most important aviation hub for MSFS users to discover. The scenery comes included with a faithful and detail-rich virtual recreation of Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (VGHS) and features among other highly detailed ground polygons, 4K PBR textures, detailed animated jetways, carefully crafter terminal interiors, realistic night textures, and an up-to-date 2023 ground layout featuring two newly constructed taxiways, to name but just a few.

Final Approach Design Simulations’ Dhaka Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (VGHS) rendition for MSFS can be purchased via the developer’s simMarket store page and will cost you €22.00 Ex. VAT.
