Exclusive: New Studio ‘Vector’ Announces Boeing 787-9 for MSFS 2024

We are able to reveal that a new development studio called ‘Vector’ has been quietly working on a rendition of the Boeing 787-9 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The new project will bring the “modern widebody built around integration and precision” to the simulator.

Internally, the product is codenamed “Project Griffin” and has been in development for some time in secret already. According to the developer, they are creating a project which will feature high-quality visuals along with in-depth systems, which is being supported by real-world 787 pilots who are on the team.

“The 787 is a complex, highly integrated aircraft, and it deserves a careful, deliberate approach,” the team said. “Project Griffin isn’t about chasing headlines; it’s about building something that feels correct, consistent, and dependable from the moment pilots step into the flight deck.”

Vector tells us that the plane will be comprehensive. From all cockpit workflows to system logic will be incorporated. This includes accurate visual references for an accurate look in the simulator. We have a teaser screenshot for you as the featured image above. Due to it being built exclusively for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, the team is able to take full advantage of the modern technology, performance capabilities and rendering techniques.

The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner ‘Project Griffin’ by Vector is scheduled to be released in 2026.

FSElite will be sure to keep you updated throughout its development cycle.
