Emerald Scenery Design has released Limberlost Ranch (CA21) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024, a private hilltop airstrip tucked away in Northern California’s Sierra Nevada foothills.
The scenery was inspired by Orbx’s Blue Canyon-Nyack Airport for FSX/P3D, which included a lite rendition of CA21. Limberlost Ranch by Emerald Scenery Design has now been recreated for Microsoft Flight Simulator with a high degree of accuracy and detail based on years of research and development.
The scenery features a highly detailed ranch and airstrip complete with custom models, vegetation, PBR materials, a fully modelled hangar with interactive doors and lighting, a high-resolution asphalt apron, and a ranch house with a navigable interior designed for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024’s avatar mode. Also included are animated wildlife, dynamic water effects, environment-triggered sounds and visual effects powered by Wwise, and hand-crafted terrain enhanced with custom 15cm-per-pixel aerial imagery.
