Echo19 has been on quite a roll lately with its partnerships. Recently, they collaborated with iniBuilds on its A350 series, but now Echo19 has confirmed they have been heavily involved in creating sounds for PMDG.
The news was confirmed via a YouTube video and further elaboration from the team on their Discord channel. We learned that the team spent over 200 hours creating an authentic sound bank for the PMDG 737 on Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, which includes 3D spatial awareness. There is full environment modelling, including flaps, slats, hydraulics and all new engine recordings.
Future Products – 777 and 747
Echo19 also confirmed on Discord that they are working on the PMDG 777 sound package as well. The PMDG 777 sound pack has been long-awaited for some time, so it’s refreshing to hear that it’s not only still coming, but it’s coming from a team that is known for its sound work.
Not only that, but Echo19 confirmed they are also working on the PMDG 747 sound package, too.
Sound Settings for Your PC
Continuing with the theme, Robert from PMDG also gave some advice to simmers ahead of the PMDG 737 launch later today. He said that you should use “Windows Sonic for Headphones” as your sound setting to get the most from the new 3D sound settings. You can read more about that on the forums.

For now, you can watch the sounds video above. We will let you know once PMDG releases its 737-800 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
