Echo 19 Audio has announced its upcoming Precision Audio Pack for the default Cessna 208B Grand Caravan in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, bringing a fully rebuilt sound environment based on real-world recordings. A teaser video is readily available above.
The package has been developed in partnership with the Mission Aviation Fellowship, with audio captured from a real 208B EX using more than 12 microphones and recording perspectives. According to the developer, the goal is to deliver a highly authentic recreation of the aircraft’s PT6 engine, propeller, and overall soundscape.
The sound pack introduces completely new engine and propeller audio, alongside full 3D ambisonic cockpit sound. External audio has also been reworked, with 360-degree flyby and environmental sounds designed to enhance both in-flight and ground-based experiences.
In addition to engine and environmental audio, the package includes re-recorded cockpit interactions such as switches, levers, and doors, as well as new system sounds for ventilation, bleed air, fuel pumps, and flaps. A built-in headphone simulation option is also included, allowing users to reduce ambient cockpit noise for a more focused experience.
The release will also include 10 bonus liveries spanning passenger, cargo, and float variants, including real-world-inspired schemes. A portion of the proceeds will be donated back to the Mission Aviation Fellowship to support its operations.
The Precision Audio Pack is planned for release on April 23rd, priced at $14.99, and will be available across multiple platforms, including the in-sim marketplace. You can keep an eye on the product page here.
