DSD Simulations has released the Vortex SC for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024, bringing a dedicated unlimited aerobatic aircraft to virtual pilots. Developed alongside aerobatic champion Melanie Astles, the aircraft has been designed to deliver a realistic and precise aerobatic flying experience, focusing on accurate handling, energy management, and performance during demanding manoeuvres.
The Vortex SC features a custom flight model, detailed cockpit with both analogue and digital avionics options, and extensive customisation including removable cameras, wheel spats, aerials, glass floor options, and multiple propeller configurations. The aircraft also includes a detailed engine model, custom sounds from Echo 19, aerobatic smoke effects, and 28 authentic liveries.
