Developer Drzewiecki Design has released Seattle Airports XP and Seattle City XP for X-Plane 11.
Seattle Airports XP is comprised of 5 airports in the Seattle area including Seattle-Tacoma (KSEA), Paine Field (KPAE), Boeing Field (KBFI), Renton Municipal (KRNT), and Auburn Municipal (S50).
Seattle-Tacoma (also known as Sea-Tac) is the main commercial airport serving the Seattle Area. The largest airport in the Pacific Northwest, the airport serves over 45 million passengers per year and is a major hub for Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air. The scenery includes the new International Arrivals facility as well as the satellite terminal.
The package also includes both Paine Field (KPAE) and Boeing Field (KBFI). Any fans of Boeing will recognize KPAE as the home of the Boeing Everett Factory. The airfield also houses the largest building in the world (by volume) and is the first runway many Boeing aircraft roll down when they being their service. Included in the scenery are the 747, 777, and 787 assembly building, the new passenger terminal, and aircraft delivery centre.
Both Renton Municipal and Auburn Municipal are city-owned airports that see their share of commercial flights but are great spots for launching some VFR outings.
The Seattle City XP package includes modelling of the entire city of Seattle. With a land area of 83.9 square miles, Seattle is the northernmost city in the United States with a population greater than 500,000 people. The city includes 5,540 acres of parkland and is the largest city in the Pacific Northwest Region. Home to companies like Boeing, Microsoft, and Amazon, Seattle is a major gateway for trade with Asia as well.
Included in the scenery are over 2000 custom-made buildings, including the entire downtown in 3D plus other landmarks, bridges, stadiums, harbours, trains, and other objects. The scenery also includes all of Federal Way, Everett, and Redmond with night textures.
Seattle Airports XP can be purchased from the X-Plane store for $43 USD, and Seattle City XP can be had for $24 USD.
