Drzewiecki Design teased a few previews of Chicago City X just a few days ago. Today, they have released the product via simMarket and various other vendors. The scenery package has been built to include a huge range of landmarks of the city along with finer details such as restaurants, hotels, swimming pools and more.
The entire city of Chicago has been recreated specifically for the simulator to include enough detail to make it fully flyable regardless of whether you choose VFR or IFR. All the key visual points around the city have been included to give you an immersive and scenic experience. Some of the key areas include Highland Park, Schaumburg Village and Oak Lawn. Throughout the scenery are multiple helipads, bridges, harbours and more. You’ll also be able to enjoy other details such as trains, building interiors and more.
For those concerned about performance, it has been said that advanced performance-friendly design has been used to ensure a smooth experience. However, there is also a “Lite Texture” pack included also.
To be clear, this package does not contain any airports, but will be compatible with the upcoming Chicago Airports X from Drzewiecki Design. Furthermore, it has been listed that all orbx products, all PILOT’S products and all Megascenery products are compatible with Chicago City X. Finally, Drzewiecki Design said it expects that their City X package will be compatible with most other third-party airports.
Drzewiecki Design’s Chicago City X is now available to purchase from simMarket and other vendors (such as Just Flight, FSPS Store and FSPilotShop). At the time of writing, it is retailing for €20.00 (excluding tax). The product is compatible with FSX and all versions of P3D.
