Drzewiecki Design Newark MSFS Progress Update

Scenery developer Drzewiecki Design recently took to social media to provide new previews and update the flight simulator community on the status of their upcoming Newark Airport scenery for MSFS.

Newark Liberty International Airport (KEWR/EWR) is one of three major airports serving the New York City and New Jersey region and is one of the oldest airports in the United States. A true hub airport, Newark is claimed as a hub by United Airlines and FedEx Express but has recently seen an increase in service from JetBlue Airways and Spirit Airlines. Recently, the Port Authority unveiled a brand new $2.7 billion Terminal A that will replace the original, almost 50-year-old Terminal A.

Drzewiecki Design is no stranger to Newark Airport. The developer had initially released Newark for FSX and P3D and decided to go all out for their MSFS rendition. With a team of ten working over ten months, this mammoth project has been one of Drzewiecki Design’s most intensive projects yet. But the hard work is paying off. From the tablets at the gates to the jetway textures, this scenery is truly a highly accurate and detailed representation of Newark Airport.

In this social media post, Drzewiecki Design announced they are preparing the 5th beta of the scenery. This beta may become the first release candidate, allowing the developer to create the installer and promotional materials and fill in the Marketplace data files. However, the release candidate processes are usually where additional bugs are found with the scenery, so we may have to wait for the third release candidate for the actual release. Nevertheless, we are getting closer and closer to having a high-quality Newark Airport scenery for MSFS.

FSElite will continue monitoring the scenery’s status and provide any updates regarding the release.
