Developer Digital Design has announced that they will soon releaseĀ Salzburg Airport (LOWS). The developer has announced that the airport is “almost finished” and will include a huge amount of detail going beyond the airport.
According to a Facebook post by the developer, this is not a conversion of the Prepar3D airport. In fact, the airport is vastly improved with new buildings, new texturing processes and an increase in resolution. From the screenshots shared, there is clearly a lot of effort that has gone into the product with the airport, surrounding area and city all being modelled. Various airport buildings, city objects and points of interest exist, along with static objects and clutter at the airport.
Salzburg Airport (LOWS) has a single 9000ft runway, and sees traffic from a variety of airlines visit mostly on a seasonal basis. Airlines such as Norwegian, easyJet, TUI, and Wizz Air server destinations such as Copenhagen, Belgrade, and London for skiers looking to take advantage of the nearby ranges and resorts.
Whilst the airport is nearing completion, no release date was yet discussed. However, stay tuned to FSElite to know when Digital Design will release Salzburg Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
