F-100D Pre-Order Deadline and RHAW Dev Report

Grinnelli Designs has shared a new development report for DCS: F-100D Super Sabre focusing on the AN/APR-25 Radar Homing and Warning system, with the pre-order discount also set to expire soon. The AN/APR-25 provides both visual and audio cues to help identify radar threats, with contacts appearing as directional lines on the azimuth scope.

To bring the system to life, Grinnelli Designs states they have developed a custom RHAW audio synthesizer that generates distinct tones, buzzes and warning cues for each radar type based on scan patterns, pulse behaviour, modulation and beam width.

The pre-order discount of 30% remains available on both the DCS E-Shop and Grinnelli Designs’ own webstore, with Grinnelli Designs also confirmed to have a booth at FSExpo in St Paul, Minnesota, running 12-14 June 2026.

DCS: F-14 Tomcat to Leave Early Access

Heatblur Simulations has confirmed that the next update for DCS: F-14 Tomcat will mark its departure from Early Access. Heatblur states the update will introduce the F-14A Export variant, the AIM-7E Sparrow, and basic TARPS reconnaissance capability using the KS-87D camera, with Heatblur sharing a screenshot of a Windows File Explorer window open in a TARPS output folder showing a series of KS-87D aerial reconnaissance images of ground terrain generated in-game.

On the visual side, a significant set of external model additions are also planned, covering glove vanes, early gun vents, ALQ-126 blisters, TCS bullet and round covers, a previously missing small TCS antenna, and support for aircraft configured with or without TCS. Additional early F-14A liveries will also be included.

Heatblur has also confirmed that the dedicated Persian Gulf early F-14A campaign has been moved to a post-release date to allow further polish, with an apology issued to those who had been anticipating it. Heatblur states that the departure from Early Access marks the completion of the original core module roadmap rather than the end of Tomcat development, with further news on the F-14B/U to follow shortly.

DTC Updates for F-16C and F/A-18C

Eagle Dynamics’ Matt “Wags” Wagner has published a video detailing upcoming Data Transfer Cartridge additions for the DCS: F-16C Viper and DCS: F/A-18C.

For the F-16C, the update is set to add Geo Lines for creating reference lines and operational boundaries on the HSD and HAD pages, Threat Points for pre-briefing SAM locations with customisable rings and labels, and Destination Points for quick-reference navigation locations such as airfields and orbit points.

For the F/A-18C, new Situational Awareness DTC options will include CAP Points, Corridors, FAOR/FLOT lines, Missile Engagement Zone threats and expanded SA Page Settings, with tools to organise airspace responsibilities, define ingress and egress routes and tailor datalink presentation. SA partitions will be importable and loadable in-flight via the aircraft’s MUMI pages.
