Aircraft developer DC Designs has shared a large development update in regards to their future plans for the Microsoft Flight Simulator platform.
The update came via a post to the DC Designs Facebook page, which covers a wide variety of topics related to the developer’s future plans and projects. Some of the topics discussed in the post are the 2021 aircraft release schedule which includes a previously unannounced Spearman Biplane, the recently released F-15 Eagles for MSFS and a quick approaching update for that project, and the conversion of DC Designs’ FA-18 Hornets from FSX/P3D to MSFS. The post also includes some preview images of the upcoming Spearman biplane and F-15 update.
According to the post, last week’s launch of the F-15 Eagles for MSFS was the most successful in the developer’s history. It was so successful in fact, that DC Designs has had a difficult time keeping up all of the messages and feedback after release. Going forward, the focus of future updates for the F-15 Eagles are listed in order as performance, bugs, and textures. The aircraft are also getting a new custom sound set from Sim Acoustics, and more information about that will come next month.
The post also outlines a release schedule which lists all of DC Designs’ upcoming projects by order of release. The developer’s next release will be the new Spearman Biplane, followed by the F-14D Tomcat, then the Concorde, and finally the P-47 Thunderbolt. After that, the focus will be on converting the FSX/P3D version of the F-18 Super Hornets to MSFS.
Finally, the post does a deep dive into the future development plans and updates for the F-15 Eagles for MSFS. The F-15s will be updated in three phases, the first of which will be available to download within a week. Phase one include a plethora of bug fixes, texture upgrades and modeling upgrades. Phase 2 will further improve the modeling and textures while adding new features and optimizations, and phase 3 will introduce the sound package from Sim Acoustics.
This development update comes to us a little over a week after the release of the F-15 Eagles for MSFS which you can read about here.
Those aircraft are available to purchase for $40.99 (excl. VAT) from Just Flight here.
