DC Designs has announced their latest project: the iconic McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle, with the C, E and I variants. The F-15 Eagle is a very recognisable military fighter that serves a prominent role in the United States Air Force and the Israeli Air Force, amongst others. It’s a twin engine jet with a focus on air superiority and to date has 0 losses to its name, and over 100 confirmed kills. Though the airplane has started to show its age, this has not stopped its producer, Boeing, to stop innovating and improving the plane. The USAF is said to receive two brand new F-15EX’s with modern avionics and other improvements, since the development and missile capabilities of the Lockheed Martin F-35 are lagging behind that of the iconic fighter.
DC Designs’ F-15 will be an accurately modelled representation of the different aircraft variants, whilst making sure the planes are being designed for performance. The plane will feature a number of external animations, such as a canopy, crew ladders and a tail hook. Other features include authentic night lighting, which includes ‘slime lights’ for combat operations, custom animated afterburner flames and sonic shockwave effects and custom air intake animations. The plane will also feature animated and configurable front and rear pilots in the virtual cockpit. The plane will be published by Just Flight.
We will keep you up to date on this project as more info comes out. In the meantime, if you want to scratch that fighter jet itch, you can check out DC Designs’ F/A-18 Hornet, also published by Just Flight.
