Commercial Simulation Systems (CSS) has published its July 4th Weekly Blog, previewing the upcoming 1.2 update. According to CSS, version 1.2 will eliminate EIS gauge jitter when temporal anti-aliasing is enabled and will refresh cockpit screen glass textures, window decals and the first officer’s oxygen-mask display.
The blog post also explains that Navigraph AIRAC cycle 2506 contained corrupted SID and STAR entries that defaulted to “Null Island.” CSS advises users to delete the faulty 130 MB cycle and reinstall the corrected 150 MB file via the Navigraph Hub to restore waypoint accuracy.
A long-standing LNAV issue is also addressed in the preview. CSS reports that a permanent fix is in development to prevent excessive bank angles and route erasure when changing STARs. As an interim measure, pilots can select heading mode, align on the desired track, issue a direct-to clearance and then re-engage LNAV. A new “NAV DATA OUT OF DATE” warning will appear when the database is stale.
Finally, CSS confirms that 1.2 will introduce PayPal as a payment method in the CSS Launcher, allowing users to purchase and activate licences without leaving the sim environment. No release date has been announced, but the update is expected in the coming weeks.
