Update 22:45z 16 May 2025: The trailer for the plane just dropped (thanks JetDelta5 for the tip). We’ve put it above for you.
CSS, also known as Commercial Simulation Systems, has confirmed the release date of its 737 Classic series on Microsoft Flight Simulator. We previously had a date range, but now the team has committed to a release date for the plane.
The 737-500 Passenger version will be released first, with other variants to follow in the future. The plane will come with full system functionality, an onboard EFB, and numerous other features unique to the old-school line-up of Boeing 737 aircraft.

The plane is due to release on May 18th 2025. We are expecting beta testers and content creators to share their experiences with the place as of the 17th May from 10:00z, so expect us to provide some coverage around then. The plane will release on Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 first, with a FS2024 version to release later on.
As a reminder, CSS is offering a rather unique way to purchase the aircraft. You can either subscribe to a subscription model, or a one-off fee of $120 USD. It’s not clear how or where you will be able to purchase the plane from, but you can see the full pricing details below.
- Monthly subscription (30 days) – $5.00 USD per month
- Annual subscription (365 days) – $50.00 USD per year
- Purchase without a subscription – $120.00 USD
