Developer COWS has published a significant update for their DA42 Series for MSFS. The update, which goes by version 1.1.1 has a completely recreated visual model, as well as new flight model features.
To begin with the visual model, the COWS team has completely reworked the visual model of the aircraft. It features updated UV’s, textures and more 3D model details to make the plane even more accurate. Additionally, the team has added wing flex as a new animation. It’s good to note that 3rd party liveries are no longer compatible and need to be updated by their respective creators to work with the DA42 Series’ v1.1.1 update.
The flight model and systems also see substantial new features and changes. The flight model now includes deep-stall flutter, feathering has been improved and there is a new brake fade simulation. The engines features enhanced cooling and damage functionality, with new turbo, fuel pressure and compression simulation. The ECU has been rewritten with new fail criteria and features improved error handling along new auto and fail safe modes.
COWS DA42 Series 1.1.1 update is available now on Orbx Direct, alongside an updated and free livery pack. The update will soon be available on the MSFS Marketplace as well.
