Home cockpit builders looking to take their Airbus setup to the next level may want to take a look at a new Kickstarter from Core Flight Tech. The team has launched a compact A32X overhead panel, designed to offer realistic Airbus-style interaction in a much smaller footprint than traditional overhead units.
The idea behind the project is simple: bring much of the functionality of a full-size A320 overhead into a form factor that works for hobbyist setups without needing a full rig or ceiling-mounted structure. The panel supports standard VESA mounting, meaning it can be attached to existing brackets, custom cockpits or mounted beside other hardware.
The unit features a range of functional switches, rotary controls and indicators designed to mimic the A32X layout. Core Flight Tech says the hardware will integrate with common middleware solutions such as MobiFlight, SPAD.neXt and ProSim, giving simmers flexibility depending on the aircraft and simulator they use. The hardware is being built with cross-platform compatibility in mind, including support for Microsoft Flight Simulator, X-Plane and Prepar3D, for a number of Airbus-related products from a range of developers.

Core Flight Tech highlights affordability and accessibility as key goals for the project. Full-scale overheads can be both expensive and physically impractical for many simmers, so offering a compact alternative may make overhead simulation more achievable for a larger audience. While this isn’t intended as a 1:1 physical replica, the goal is to replicate systems interaction rather than panel scale.
As with any crowdfunded hardware, delivery timelines, production quality and final feature scope will depend on the campaign’s success and manufacturing process. Worldwide shipping is estimated to take place between January and February 2026. The video below gives you a good overview on how it works.
At the time of writing, the Kickstarter campaign has already almost doubled its initial goal. If you’re looking to back the project, you can be an Early Bird adopter and get your panel for $199 USD. Once that batch is gone, the prices only go up.
