Contrail’s FA50 Launching June 25, Official Trailer Now Live

The release of the first Falcon in MSFS is almost upon us.

The official trailer for Contrail’s FA50 aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator is here, and the release date has been officially confirmed.

Following a two-and-a-half-year development cycle, Contrail has now given the FA50 to creators to begin making content, including AviationLads, to create the official launch trailer. This is the first Falcon for MSFS and will replicate the cross between the modern and classic business jet. Inside, you will find the EFIS upgrade – a digital Collins 85C EFIS paired with a Garmin MX20 MFD and a GNS-XLS Flight Management Computer.

Rather than depicting a factory-fresh aircraft, Contrail says it has intentionally given the cockpit a more lived-in appearance, reflecting the reality of an airframe that has spent decades in service while receiving periodic upgrades along the way.

All of this is depicted within the trailer, and we get a good look at the modelling, texturing and unique features such as the push back tug, which can be controlled completely by the user. We also hear many of the included sound effects, can see some of the EFB integrations, and much more.

We also learned that the aircraft will be launching on June 25th via the Contrail Store. We will share more news with you once we have it, but for now, enjoy the trailer.

You can read more about the aircraft from their last development blog.
