The makers of the flight simulation aircraft and scenery distributor Contrail have announced exclusively at #FSExpoFriday that they are developing and releasing their own Dassault Falcon 50 for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
The announcement marks only the second time that Contrail have released a product under their own label and the first time this will be a serious, payware aircraft, with the company’s first product being a free utility add on.
The Falcon 50 is a French midsize, long range business jet, iconic for its 3-engine trijet design. The type first flew in November 1976 and to this day is still operated by a number of air forces as a private transport aircraft, including those of France, South Africa, Portugal and Italy.

Contrail say that their rendition of the trijet is being developed with custom avionics and systems, including the GNS XLS FMS, Apollo MX20, Collins EFIS suite, and a fully featured custom autopilot. The addon is being built for both MSFS 2020 and 2024, with a targeted release date before the end of 2025.
More information on the ongoing development of the FA50 can be found on the official Contrail Discord Server. When released, the aircraft will be available through the Contrail Shop, which is currently running its summer sale.
