In a recent post published on the X-Plane forum, renowned developer Colimata has indicated to interested readers the release of Version 1.50 of their Concorde FXP product. According to the development team, Version 1.50 is considered to be a major leap forward for the product and entails numerous important fixes and improvements, most of which fall into one of three categories, including Flight Model; Engineering; and General.
In addition to adding compatibility with the X-Plane’s Experimental flight model, the standard flight model has seen major refinements, including a more realistic takeoff timeframe, improved rotation dynamics, improved roll and pitch responsiveness, as well as an improved transition to Mach 1.00 and beyond.
Regarding the Engineering category, fixes include a revamped and improved engineer panel, the addition of both, numerous instrument and status indicator lights, as well as the addition of hydraulic, fuel and electric panel functionalities.
Finally, pertaining to the General category, some of the improvements include new autothrottle settings, the revision of ASI bug reference speeds, the introduction of the Master warning panel, and finally, the addition of the engine fire detection and suppression system.
Customers already in possession of the aircraft are invited by the development team to download the newest version of Concorde FXP from the link provided in the teams’ recent forum announcement. The developer indicates that the update should be installed on a clean version (V1.10 or above) of the product.
