Colimata, a developer best known for their F/A-18 Hornet, has released a preview video for their next aircraft, Concorde for X-Plane.
50 years to the day of Concorde’s first flight from Toulouse on March 2nd 1969, The video over on Colimata’s YouTube channel teases us advanced development stage previews of the aircraft.
We see Colimata boast high detailed rendering of Concorde, both internally and externally. Along with high-quality sound clips upon takeoff. The aircraft is accompanied by custom built ground utility vehicles and a detailed display version of the Olympus 593 engine.
The video also previews two high fidelity liveries that Concorde saw during her 27 years of commercial service, BA Landor from 1984 and the classic Air France colours.
The developer has also included a straight forward user interface to configure the aircraft with ease which includes fuel and loadout, navigation and aircraft setup.
There does seem to be work left to do; the flight engineer station has gauges unfinished or missing and the cockpit feel overall, is a little washed out.
The final message from the video is that there will be a chance to take part in the early access stages of development, starting in May of this year.
