As development continues on the highly-anticipated Concorde for X-Plane, Colimata has released more preview shots of the project, this time with textures. The previews showcase highly-detailed renditions of the supersonic airliner’s cockpit, including the primary flight instruments, throttle quadrant and dials as well as the overhead panel.
The developers have announced that version 1.0 of their Concorde will be at a ‘reasonable’ system depth. Unfortunately, this description is a little too vague to confirm any features, like high-complexity fuel management, etc. but it has been confirmed that the aircraft will ship with compatibility of the X-CIVA plugin (sold separately) for INS navigation. Additionally, it has been stated that, depending on customer feedback and demand, further system complexity will come as updated as the lifetime of the project progresses.
Finally, a release for version 1.0, titled the ‘early access program’, is aimed to be for March 2019, marking the 50th anniversary for Concorde’s first flight.
