After a soft launch a few weeks ago, Parallel 42 has now released ChasePlane on Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 (PC) for the whole community to purchase now and download.
ChasePlane has been designed to go beyond the camera system that is possible in Microsoft Flight Simulator. You are no longer limited by 10 views and can make as many as you like with every aircraft and vehicle in the simulator. With your custom views, you can even include realistic camera motion and physics based on realistic algorithms. If you want action or steady cams, you can set those up to.
ChasePlane also gives you the chance to implement smart views that gives you the chance to zoom in on specific areas of the cockpit with a simple button press. A new ‘binoculars’ mode will also give you the chance to zoom in without the need to worry about complex controls. The built-in tutorial will make setting up your camera views as easy as possible.
Finally, once you have set up your views, you can export and share them freely with the community. If you also want to, you can back up your views on the Parallel 42 cloud for life, without any need for a subscription.
The soft launch gave Parallel 42 the opportunity to allow the product out into the wild in a more controlled way to gather valuable data and bug reports. This has resulted in multiple updates in the ‘early access’ period and paved the way for a much more stable release for the wider community.
You can buy ChasePlane from the Parallel 42 store for $30.00 USD (excluding tax) – local currency options are also available. It’s good to note that a native Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 version will be available in the near future. 2020 version owners can upgrade for free for a limited time (once upgraded you won’t need to pay again, nor is it a trial type of thing).
