After a long streak of previews, Centralsim has released their Aeroparque Jorge Newbery Airport (SABE). The scenery is designed for Prepar3D V4.5 and V5, with PBR textures, dynamic lighting and SODE jetways. The rendering includes the airport itself and the immediate surroundings of the airport, such as the Antonio Vespucio Liberti stadium. As the developer thrives on delivering “lightweight designs”, the scenery is optimized for good performance and does not exclude extended modeling features such as terminal interiors. The scenery is compatible with Orbx Vectors and OpenLC South America and sits on aerial images along with custom autogen.
The Newbery Aeroparque is mostly a domestic airport, located very close to downtown Buenos Aires. The airport handled about 12 million passengers in 2018. It holds a single 2,100m / 7,100ft runway, that has a quite scenic approach along the coast. The airport is so embedded in the city that around 2009-2010, the city of Buenos Aires moved one of the surrounding highway further from the airport, as the aircraft flying over were deemed too close.
The Centralsim Aeroparque Jorge Newbery Airport is available on Simmarket for €17.
The developer also created a small trailer.
