Carenado Tease Their Upcoming Saab 340 for X-Plane

In a Facebook post, Carenado has teased their Saab 340 for X-Plane ahead of the upcoming release. Based on the same aircraft that was released in April last year for P3D and FSX, the S340 will, in the X-Plane market, become a direct competitor to the Leading Edge Simulations Saab 340 that has been around for years and become a much-loved product in the community.

From the screenshots included in their post, we can see a highly detailed cockpit, with high-quality texturing and PBR, with the X-Plane default FMC included on the pedestal. The exterior modeling is to the same standard as the P3D equivalent, as one would expect, and is finished off with PBR to give the model some shine.

No word on a release date or price as yet, but based on past product releases, it’ll be released at a moment’s notice. If you’re in the market for a Saab in X-Plane, check out some of the screenshots below, or head to Carenado’s Facebook page for the full set.
