Carenado Releases C182Q Skylane for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

Carenado has released the Cessna C182Q Skylane for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Known for its reliability and versatility, the C182Q Skylane is a staple in private aviation, flight schools, and bush operations worldwide.

The C182Q Skylane is a four-seat, high-performance, single-engine aircraft equipped with a fixed landing gear and a 230-horsepower engine. It offers a balanced blend of speed, endurance, and ease of handling, making it ideal for everything from cross-country trips to scenic flights.

This latest release from Carenado brings a detailed rendition of the C182Q to MSFS 2024, featuring a modelled 3D interior and exterior with 8K PBR textures. The aircraft has been built from the ground up to meet the standards of the simulator’s SDK and the flying model found in MSFS 2024.

Carenado’s C182Q includes a custom GNS530 navigation unit, interactive checklists, and fully functional circuit breakers. The avionics suite blends analogue instrumentation with classic GPS, offering a more traditional general aviation experience. The flight dynamics have been carefully tuned based on real-world performance data, and a full FMOD sound set has been implemented using authentic recordings from the actual aircraft.
