In a complete surprise to the community, Carenado has announced they are only days away from releasing their rendition of the ATR 42-500!
Previously unannounced, they’re informing the community that the ATR is one of their biggest and most ambitious projects thus far, and has been secretly in development for two years.
They also mention that they want to take the opportunity to thank everyone for their gratitude and support during the 20 years they’ve been in business. From us at FSElite, that deserves a hearty congratulations indeed – and really, what better way to celebrate than to release a new, in-demand aircraft.
Unfortunately at this time there is no feature list, but we can confirm a few details. It will be available for P3D v4.4 and up (with PBR), P3D v4.0-4.3 (without PBR), FSX, and FSX Steam Edition, and the cost will be $44.95. Carenado’s also confirmed that it will have the Garmin GTN integrated, presumably referring to the Flight1 GTN Complete.
As soon as we hear any additional information, we will let you know.
