Aircraft developer Carenado has announced two aircraft in the making, for the new Microsoft Flight Simulator. The Cessna 182 Turbo Skylane and the Mooney M20R Ovation were recently displayed on their Facebook page. The highly detailed, PBR textured aircraft can be seen in the WIP images below.
The Turbo Cessna 182 Skylane is powered by a powerful TIO-540 engine that enables the aircraft to fly as high as 20,000ft. Two liveries are presented in the images for the Cessna without any instrument panel views. Looking closely, we can see the reflections on the aircraft from its surrounding environment.
Powered by an IO-550 engine, the Mooney M20R Ovation is capable of cruising high and fast with little fuel usage. Furthermore, the Mooney images show an accurate cockpit display with detailed texturing. The instrument panel seems to include all of the instruments found in the real aircraft including the Garmin GPS.
The developer has not listed a release date yet, however, they state that both aircraft will be ready soon.
