Captain Sim has released the Heinkel He 111, one of the Luftwaffe’s most recognisable aircraft during World War II, for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.
The Heinkel He 111 was originally developed in the early 1930s as a civil passenger aircraft to disguise its military purpose under the restrictions of the Versailles Treaty, however, it was quickly adapted to a bomber and first saw combat service during the Spanish Civil War. The He 111 then went on to play a crucial part during the Blitzkrieg campaigns, including the invasion of Poland in 1939 and the Battle of Britain in 1940.
