SoFly has used #FSExpoFriday to announce new details on Cabin Announcement Pro [Working Title] and a major update coming to their AeroTone Family of products.
AeroTone Update Coming This Summer
During the presentation, the team confirmed that a “major new update” for AeroTone is in the works that will bring with it fully 3D spatial aware audio. With the product adding ambient new sound effects to all aircraft, this update will be welcomed according to the developer who said this was the most requested feature. Alongside that, new cabin and ground crew chatter will also be added, along with dynamic rain sound effects which will vary depending on the strength of the rain.
No release was given for the update, but SoFly said to expect it during the Summer. In the meantime, you can see a glimpse of the update in action by watching the video above.
Cabin Announcement Pro [Working Title] New Development Details
The next part of SoFly’s presentation was some new information about Cabin Announcement Pro. The team first acknowledged that it was announced a bit prematurely back in 2024, but has been hard at work developing a product that will meet the expectations of the community.
Cabin Announcement Pro [Working Title] will feature a custom in-sim panel, where users can control the audio through manual or automatic mode. Automatic mode will track your flight and play announcements at the right time, based on dynamic settings. You will be able to select variations of accents, import your SimBrief flight plan for more accurate announcements, and more.
SoFly reconfirmed that there will be no subscriptions for Cabin Announcement Pro when it launches on PC and Xbox for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. We should expect more information in the coming weeks, including more detailed feature-specific looks.
