Developer Burning Blue Design adds another stunning general aviation airfield to its growing repertoire with the release of Welshpool Airport (ICAO: EGCW) in both Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024.
Set in the stunning Welsh countryside, the airfield welcomes a multitude of general aviation flights, helicopters and acts as a base for the Wales Air Ambulance. The airport features a 1,020-metre asphalt runway, a number of hangar storage and café for visitors to the airfield.
Burning Blue Design say they have carried out on-site visits while researching the project, and their sim version includes over 100 custom 3D objects each with PBR textures, custom night lighting with accurate PAPI and runway lighting, and accurate runways, taxiways and custom taxi signs.
