Burning Blue Design, known for UK airports Headcorn-Lashenden and Lydd, has previewed their third project for Microsoft Flight Simulator, Farnborough International Airport.
Farnborough International is located in Hampshire, just forty miles South West of London. It is known as the home of aviation in both the UK and Europe as it is known for hosting the world famous Farnborough Airshow. Many aircraft have been shown off to the public and private buyers at Farnborough such as the Antonov An-225 Mriya, Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Airbus A380.
When not hosting the bi-annual airshow, the international airport hosts private jets from around the globe ranging from small Cessna Citations to Boeing Business Jets. The airport was home of developmental aircraft of the Ministry Of Defence until it was purchased by current Luxembourg based operators, TAG aviation in 2003.
Burning Blue Design has shared preview images straight from MSFS which showcase the main terminal, emblazoned with the TAG aviation logo, the original terminal and other various structures found around the airport. The developer has also included the first jet aircraft prototype ‘Whittle Jet’ gate guard and the popular Farnborough Air Sciences Trust museum with aircraft, found at the end of runway 24.
